Today was the first real snow storm of the year. {We started a new tradition of making homemade donuts on the first real snow storm. What do you know, we are out of flour. Rhodes Cinnamon rolls had to do. YUM!} It was beautiful the way it washed everything so clean. It reminded me of the scripture Isaiah 1:18 "Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson they shall be like wool" To celebrate this new season, I thought I would share some of my favorite "winter scriptures". I hope you have a cozy weekend.
Job 38:29-30
From whose womb comes the ice?
Who gives birth to the frost from the heavens
when the waters become hard as stone,
when the surface of the deep is frozen?
From whose womb comes the ice?
Who gives birth to the frost from the heavens
when the waters become hard as stone,
when the surface of the deep is frozen?
Psalm 147:16
He spreads the snow like wool and scatters the frost like ashes.
Psalm 74:17
It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth; you made both summer and winter.
Job 37:6
He says to the snow, 'Fall on the earth,' and to the rain shower, 'Be a mighty downpour.'
Job 37:10
The breath of God produces ice, and the broad waters become frozen.
The breath of God produces ice, and the broad waters become frozen.
